[Resolved] How to recover INDEX.PHP in /public_html folder

  • I accidentally overwrote the INDEX file in my /public_html folder with a theme index file i was uploading. I now get this error message when I attempt to access my blog:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /home/tomholow/public_html/index.php on line 1

How can I recover the INDEX file for the /public_html folder?

Sometimes being a newbie is just no fun.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Hi,

You need to either restore the backup or download the wordpress version of your blog from wordpress site and then restore the index file from there.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
