[Resolved] How to rebuild ‘post name’ after a conversion?

  • I’m in the process of moving my website from an relatively old CMS towards WordPress. So far it’s working like a champ, with just one problem.

As I’ve had to manually convert the database to the WordPress format I’m lacking a couple of fields. So far the most bothering one is the ‘post_name’ field; I understand this field holds the ‘search engine friendly’ permalink name of the document.

My question is; how can I rebuild this field without having to open all 150+ blog entries in the WP admin center manually in order to get them assigned? Workarounds based on current titles are also welcome 😉

  • Little update, just noticed that WordPress can import by RSS, which worked better, despite the work I put into it.
