How to put posts on sub pages?

Hello,

I would rather not have a home page that is one endless list of all my blog posts since the beginning of time.

Ideally, the home page would have a couple of posts and then older ones could be found by going to a relevant sub-page, i.e. if I categorized that page as a ‘writing’ post and I created a sub-page called ‘writing’, it would appear there.

How can I do this?
