How to preserve selected nav states in child pages

  • HI,

I’ve created an events detail template (a custom plugin page) and I’ve specified this to be the child of an events listing template. When the user is on the events listing page the events link in my nav is selected but when I click down to the child page (events detail) the selected state is lost.

Is there any way around this?

Hi – did you ever work this out? Having a similar problem…

Please post your own topic. The solution varies from site to site.

You’re constantly shooting me down esmi, why? My question was perfectly valid. I figured it out anyway, and would like the opportunity to share that with this user who might benefit from my work.
Where I appreciate the job you’re trying to do, I sincerely believe that your criteria are too strict.

Constantly? Hmm – checking back, I’ve advised you once to try posting a new topic out of all your 28 posts over the past 4 months.

Ok, maybe “constantly” was a bit much, but it’s certainly been more than once. On the several occasions I’ve crossed paths with you in the forums, I’ve felt like your intervention was a bit unfair. But I’ve tried to see things from your point of view and correct/improve my behavior 🙂

    Until next time 😉
    best,
