How to post a blog in a certain category?

I have added 2 category widgets on the sidebar and assigned a different name for each, which are:

Recipes collection
Ingredients information

Then I added some category list under “Recipes collection”; which are ‘Salad’ and ‘Soup’.

But I also want to put other category list under “Ingredients information”, let’s say ‘herbs’ and souce.

Can anyone help me how to do that? or that is impossible? Because when I add new category under Manage> category…there isn’t an option to sellect which category I want to add the list.

Another thing is, on the side bar, both categories have the same list, just like this:

Recipes Collection:
Salad
Soup

Ingredients Information:
Salad
Soup

I hope I wrote my point correctly.
