[resolved] How to place Callback Request as a widget (4 posts)

    Hi there, first of all, thank you for your plugin! It looks very handy!

    I tried adding the shortcode [callback_shortcode] inside the "text" widget and it literally displays the shortcode, not the form. How can I use this form as a widget?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Dinis

    Hi dquelhas,

    Many thanks for your comment.
    The issue you are having is actually to do with your theme, unfortunately it doesnt allow you to have shortcodes in your widget areas.
    However it's easy enough to solve:

    > Log into your admin page for your wordpress
    > Go to Appearance – Editor
    > Select your theme and find the functions.php file
    > Add the following line between your < ?php and ?> tags
    add_filter(‘widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’);

    This should solve the issue you are having.

    Many thanks
    Jo
