What I am trying to achieve looks similar to this: http://bit.ly/1JX629f

I have a background image, using the ‘Simple Full Screen Background Image’ plugin. I’m running 4.4 with twentythirteen.

I made the whole page transparent, so the image shows through browser-wide.

I want to suspend a notebook-like image behind the text of my site, so as to make it readable

I’ve tried adding a background-image property to page-content – to no avail.

Hey wireplus,

Do you want the image to take the entire background, or to repeat like in the example link?

Take a look at the bacground-size property (CSS3):

No, I want the background image to entirely cover the screen, then the notepad image to be in front of that, then the page content in front of that. The idea is a floating notepad with text on the pages, but with a big background image too

OK, so I fixed this. For those who find this thread and want the answer, here’s what I did:

The image was in uploads/2016/01 and was called ‘LongPad.png’

In my CSS, i added the following code
```
.site-content {
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 40px 0 40px 0;
    max-width: 60%;
    background: url(/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/LongPad.png) repeat-x;
```
Simple, because WP then loads that image behind any content, but not behind the whole page.

That’s great, would it also work for a widget area. I have which I would like to have it white under the widget to the bottom of the page.
