This plugin is really great, but it comes with a couple bugs.

Below I will walk you through how to make the plugin Great Again!

    1. removed the code "sync: 0," on line 58 in 'ticker.php'
    2. remove the end "," on line 61 in 'ticker.php'
    3. Updated the jQuery Cycle plugin (cycle.js) to their latest version http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/
    4. Updated jQuery library to latest version http://jquery.com/
    5. add "ul#news-ticker" & "ul#news-ticker li" to your css
    6. that add "overflow:hidden"to the ul & li and "display:none" to just the li
    7. Once plugin is activated make sure you set the height in the plugin settings or it will brake

The rest of the formatting is up to you.

    Step #2 is a fix for IE7
    Step #6 is for IE7 & IE8

Should work in all browser after these quick fixes. Im going to package this up and try to submit a patch.

Want to thanks @darrenbond for posting his findings that lead me to fixing the rest.

    Hey James,

    Thanks for posting this.

However I didn't get this fixed? Do you know why that is?

My site is here: http://www.slarc.com and it's supposed to scroll up by cycling through my posts.

How did you fix the problem?

    Hey Darkmatter,

I solved it by not using it. I found another plugin. Unfortunately I don't have the password on this machine, but I got a better solution.

My page is here: http://www.slarc.com This new plugin actually works!

If i have time this evening, i will try to fork and update this plugin.

FYI, I used the version before the last release.

I have it working on http://dkdkgoose.com/knoxville/

I checked the code on Bourdo's site (thanks, Bourdo :D) and found that he is using a plugin called "Vertical Scroll Recent Post" by Gopi. Seems to look good on the site, by the way! I have used Gopi plugins, and although some of them seem to behave... strangely, I have found good use for a lot of them. The link to the plugin on WordPress is below:
