• I have a situation I think is somewhat unique, and I am not as familiar with mod_rewrite and htaccess rules, so I’m not sure how to do what I want.

I have a plugin that is embedded in one top-level page via shortcode, which accepts GET queries and adds rewrite rules so these queries can look like /top-page/query-term/ instead of /top-page/?query=query-term. I also have sub-pages created under that top-level page for each query-term as placeholders to store information, but not for displaying on the site. So these sub-pages also have the same permalink structure of /top-page/query-term/.

No matter what I try, the sub-pages are shown instead of the top-level page. Anyone know what I need to do to get this working?
