    Hello Chris,

thank you for this great plugin – it works well and seems to be lightweight.

I try to get my mockup working.
    https://1drv.ms/u/s!AikSNhBAk4tewQrh6_X1lNf32d6r

I am advanced in CSS but low at php, but with a little trial and error I was able to modify the content.php (/plugins/strong-testimonials/templates/unstyled) so that I could reach my goal.

And now my issue is, that I can’t override the template constantly.
I already tried to override it via child-theme (child-theme/strong-testimonials/unstyled/content.php), and some other paths, but none worked for me.

Could you build something to make it easy to modify the content.php, please?
If you like the style of my mockup, feel free to rebuild it and make it available for everyone through your plugin.

I see you helped so many people here, so we can support each other. 🙂

Thanks in advance and have a great week ahead,
    Chris

PS: I found another point which could make the plugin more valueable.

If I use your excerpt tool somebody might break your design.
The excerpt tool only only counts words, But if somebody uses much free space in a review, it can’t be excerpted.
So it might be usefull to count lines as well.

I didn’t want to make a new thread only for this point, hope it’s ok for you 🙂

    Hi @vuture!

    Thank you for reaching out!
Lovely to hear you’re enjoying the plugin!

To override it can you please try this: child-theme/strong-testimonials/templates/unstyled/content.php instead of child-theme/strong-testimonials/unstyled/content.php ?

Please let me know how it goes.
    Thanks a bunch!

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

    Hi @vuture,

Sorry for the late reply! I missed your response.
Can you please copy everything from the Unstyled folder from ST and then paste all the files in child-theme/strong-testimonials/templates/unstyled

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

    Hi Chris,

That is strange – we tried the same thing on our end with Hello Elementor and it works.
Can you please share with me the URL where you have testimonials using that template and the contents of your content.php file?
For privacy, you can send them over using this form: strongtestimonials.com/contact-us/
Or directly at the email mentioned on that page.

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

    Hello Mihaela,

as you told me, the issue was just the folder structure.
Our issue was, that we created a subfolder “templates”.

Here is the solution for everyone:
The custom files to override the template need to be in
    ..child-theme/strong-testimonials/unstyled

Thank you for the great support,
    Chris
