How to organize product variations?

I added a product, which has many variations.

It is a birthstone ring that comes in sizes 4 to 11 and all 12 months. So I had to link the variations numerous times, but they are out of order!

For instance, I want to manually update some items but it is a chore to find a size 6 april, for example.

What would be nice is to sort the list by Size. Is this possible?
