[resolved] How to omit /blog/ from Media Tags url (2 posts)

    I have found the Media tags plugin to be very useful. Well done to the developers!

    However, I have a small problem with my setup. The url to my media tag pages currently includes the /blog/ part of the url - eg http://www.domain.com/blog/media-tags/vacation. I want for it to be - http://www.domain.com/media-tags/vacation

    How can I remove the /blog/ part of the url? I don't wish to remove it from the path to standard blog posts/tags/archives however (I wish for that to remain for example - http://www.domain.com/blog/2013/03/post-title & http://www.domain.com/blog/tag/personal-work)

    Thanks.

    @surfsup74,

    This is not really something controllable within Media-Tags. The Media-Tags plugins is simply a plugin to organize your media items into tags much like you would organize your posts into post tag. With that being stated how are your post tags URLs structured? My guess is they are the same http://www.domain.com/blog/tag/post-term. You are seeing this because you have WordPress installed into the /blog/ sub-folder.

    The function of the permalink is really something core to WordPress. So you need to look for some way to change your overall permalinks. Sorry I can't help you with specific suggestions.
