Support » Plugins » How to offer (not consume) an RSS widget for external embedding

  • This is not a question about how to embed external RSS feeds into my site, but the reverse. I’m looking for a way to offer an embeddable widget to my readers – to give them a bit of embed code which they can stick on their own sites and which will have my site’s RSS URL pre-embedded into it.

It would be similar to the the Add today’s top stories to your site feature at Windy Citizen. That’s being provided by Drupal. Is there a plugin with similar functionality for WordPress? I’ve looked, but there are hundreds of plugins that show up on an “RSS” search, so thought someone here would have suggestions.

    Thanks!

  • FWIW, I did get one good suggestion on IRC – not a plugin, but a javascript system called feed2js. Looks promising. Other suggestions welcome.

Shacker .. did you ever find anything else on this query..? I’ve been looking for something similar to this for some time. What I want is an ability to post on one blog and have that post mirrored on one to ‘n’ blogs else where. Not found it yet.

If you or anyone else has something more WP specific or widget driven – please post and let us know.

    Thanks!
