How to offer discounts based on already owned products?

    I will be releasing a free lite-version of a music software that I’ve made soon, and I’m looking for ways how I can automatically offer a discount to a logged in user if he already owns certain products in his account.

    The idea is that this promotion will run for a limited time and users that have downloaded the free version will get an upgrade discount price for the full pro-version.

    How could I achieve this?

    I need this to work automatically since I also plan on implementing this pricing models to expansion packs that I will be releasing for that same product.

    I am not sure what do you mean by “if he already owns certain products on his account.” but definitely, you can consider using a plugin like this one:

    It offers some awesome discount rules like:

    • Customer-specific discount (x% discount for selected customers);
    • Dependant product based discounts;

      • And many other options!

    Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll take a look at it soon.

    What I mean is if the “Lite-version” product is in their account, meaning they downloaded it from my store as a registered user, then they will get the discounted price.
    If someone does NOT have the “Lite-version” in their user account, then they will NOT get the discount
