Support » Fixing WordPress » How to NOT wrap text around image?

  • Resolved IslandOwl

    I am using Adventure Journal theme which seems to have a preset in the CSS to wrap text around the images. Most of the time that is great. However, there are a few times I would like to align an image to the right or left and NOT have the text wrap.

    Can anyone give me the CSS or HTML I should add to the image in the HTML to over-ride the text wrapping? I have tried putting it in <p></p>, and messed with removing the class="alignright size-full wp-image-612". Neither of those seem to work. I am self taught on all of this so am probably just missing something.

    The post I am trying to change this on is:

    I have just moved the blog over from Typepad and am now moving all the images.

  • try changing

    class="alignright size-full wp-image-612...

    style="float: none;" class="alignright size-full wp-image-612...

    Thank you! That got me halfway. It does not wrap using the style="float: none;" class="alignright size-full but had the image over towards the left instead of the right.

    I changed the alignright to aligncenter and that works. alignleft does too. I have no idea why just alignright is not working!

    Having that image in the center looks okay so I am not going to tweak it any more. But I am curious why alignright is not working.

    Thanks again.

    More than likely alignright is not defined correctly in the theme’s stylesheet. Its CSS is intended to include float: right
