Support » Localhost Installs » How to move existing WP site to Google Cloud Platform myphpadmin?

  • I recently migrated to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)which has an option to deploy WP very easily but automatically gives you myphpadmin. The problem is – when I set up Mamp it automatically creates a new myphpadmin,so

    1. How can I connect up MAMP to the existing myphpadmin, the one given to me by GCP when I deployed WP, so I can increase the file size via php.ini. Currently it is set at 2MB and I can’t do anything on my WP site.

    2. OR, how if I build my WP site on localhost:8889, how I can I transfer it to GCP myphpadmin?

Does this make sense? Whilst there seems to be some information on this, it’s not very easy to follow. Anyone’s assistance would be much appreciated

  • The installations on Google Cloud and MAMP are completely separate. You have two separate installs of WordPress, two separate versions of PHP, two separate databases, and two separate installs of phpMyAdmin. One cannot control the other. Now to your two questions.

    1) phpMyAdmin has nothing to do with changing PHP settings. You will need to ask Google how to change php.ini on their cloud platform.

    2) Here is the official documentation for migrating a localhost WP isntall:
