Support » Plugin: FileBird - WordPress Media Library Folders & File Manager » How to Move Existing Media Library Files into a New Folder

This seems like it should be the easiest of things to do, and maybe it is incredibly obvious. Your documentation does a good job of explaining how to SELECT/UPLOAD new items to add to FileBird folders.

But what about items that are already in the Media Library? Is there a way to select and move them into a folder?

I have tried using the “Bulk Select” button and can select a couple images and drag them to a folder. Then I see a “Loading” animation for a second… but then nothing. And when I click on the target folder, it shows “No media items found.”

Please, can you explain how to make this work? (Asking for a client.)

    Hi @oakleystudio ,

Its Bruce here, thank you so much for using FileBird, as you explained, it seems this is an issue, because if you drag and drop files into a folder, you should see it reflecting normally, so please export the database to support@ninjateam.org and we will check the issue.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,

Ok, just so you know, this is on a website I have upgraded to WordPress v5.5. Have you tested FileBird on v5.5?

I’d be happy to send you whatever you need to resolve this. My client seems eager to have this working. But I am not sure what you mean by “please export the database to …” Is there something in the FileBird configuration/settings where I do this? Please give me some guidance.

I’m probably not going to be sending you the database export from this site (no PHPadmin, and besides, no plugin devs have ever made such a request when I report an issue with their product.)

I asked a question in my previous post, maybe you missed it… Have you tested the current version of FileBird with the new WordPress v5.5 which is out now?

    Hi @oakleystudio ,

We tested it with WP version 5.5 and it works well, many of our users experience the same thing.

So we guess there’ll be something wrong on your site, can you try these things first?

    1. Deactivate plugins one by one to find which causes the conflict.
    2. Change into default theme
    3. Clear both server and browser cache

If that does not help, please connect us via Facebook to schedule Teamviewer.

    Best regards,
    Kelly
