How to modify right-header?

Can anyone advise how I can amend the right-header to be right-aligned and not ‘squash’ up the left-hand site title? (ie so that the site title is on one line)
Anything that could be added to custom css?
ie this

.site-header .widget-area { float: right; width: auto; text-align: right; } .title-area { width: auto; }Both had fixed widths — a bad idea!
