I have 2 WPMS installs, each one has a paid domain, but I have them both in one directory(?) so I pay to host one site, not two sites. A web host did that for me.

Each Multisite is contained in its own separate folder at the top level in the http/live section.

I need to manually migrate the setup as is to a new host.

    Questions:

    • Can I use the instructions for a standard WPMS migration
    • How or can I migrate content instead? I thought to try to migrate the content for each site into clean Multisite installs. I don’t know if that’s advisable. But I don’t understated how both WPMSs are created in one directory at the same level under only one of the domains.
    • Factors involved:

    • Cannot use plugins for backups etc. Don’t know why.
    • New host cannot use their plugin to migrate.
    • User limitations. I’ve used WP for many many years I’m familiar with but not knowledgeable about the site files, folders, and structure. And I’ve never migrated a website.

Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    * I’d also like to put a copy on my desktop to work on. I assume it’s the same procedure? Yes or no?
