Recently my site was hacked, and now the former wordpress installation is broken. I have previously addressed the malicious code, so that is taken care of.
Since I no longer have working WP to export posts the easy way, I had to copy the database, install a new wordpress in a different server folder, and I want to get it up and running under a different domain temporarily.
The older wordpress used an outdated theme, so I also switched to the roots theme to start fresh with my new wordpress installation. I have gotten so far as to get the database connected to the new site, but can’t get posts or any data from the old site to appear in the new wordpress, front end or back end.
How can I fix this? I really don’t know where to start. Any help would be appreciated.
