How to make zip files save to client's hard drive

I’m having a problem with WordPress. every time I insert a link from the media library such as a zip file, when the link is clicked, the browser tries to open it like a web page and does not prompt to “save” the file. How can I make it so that when a user clicks on a link attributed to a zip file, the browser prompts to save the file and not try to open it like a page?
