Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » How to make WooCommerce legal (rechtssicher) for German law?

  • Hello,
I’m very new in this WordPress online shop thing and still experimenting with WooCommerce. It looks great and I really love how easy it fits my needs!

But sadly Germany is well known for it’s lawyers who admonish (Abmahnung) small online shops who do little mistakes. Is there a way to make my shop more “certainty for the law” (Rechtssicherheit) like a special plugin?

Maybe somebody know a good (german) site about this topic too?

    Thanks for your help!

  • Hello Gingergale and welcome to the WooCommerce world 😀

Yes, there is a WordPress plugin for WooCommerce to make it more “legal”. It’s called WooCommerce German Market. It adds necessary sites and information to the WooCommerce Plugin (like Impressum, Versandkosten, Zahlungsarten…).

Best benefit for you: you can focus on your shop, with the updates you’ll find the newest stuff (in german law) in your backend.

And because it is a very german problem – the same again in german:

i looked into it – looks quite okay.
what i am not used to is the fact that the want extra money for updates after a year. that is unusual if you buy a plug-in.

other thing is the fear, that the compatibility is not given if you use a theme with already designwise integrated woocommerce. the seller doesnt offer theme adjustments and points out that this will be up to the customer if he wants to hire a freelancer to adapt the design…

i wished there was a better and much easier solution.
