  • I am not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean the link on Facebook added by the Add link to Facebook plugin? Can you give an example?

After the link is posted to facebook using the plugin, the website name is not a hyperlink, only a line of text.

Okay, I see, this is how Facebook presents things. This cannot be changed. The title above it should be clickable and link to your WordPress post. Correct?

    Yes, they are click-able.

However, there is another plugin that allows for a click-able web address (Facebook Page Publish).

If I could figure out how to make the web address a hyperlink AND take away the uploaded 1 minute ago via [app name] blurb, then I’d be set. 🙂

I have tested with the Facebook Page Publish plugin and the web address is not clickable in my case. What did you do to make it clickable? Maybe a setting?

I have also looked into the code of the plugin to see why the ‘via‘ doesn’t appear and this is because the plugin uses a Facebook interface which I cannot find in the documentation of Facebook. It seems this interface is more limited, because only a message text can be send. The interface Add Link to Facebook uses (this one) seems to have more possibilities (name, caption, description, picture and message), meaning that there is more control over how the link appears. I am open for improvements, but I don’t want to use an interface I don’t have the documentation for.
