• Hi Everyone, I am trying to get the hang of this, but have been stuck on one issue.

Here is what I want to do.
We sell machinery, and say that this machinery would have 2 options, which the user could select, and then there are accessories that will also go with this machinery that I want them to select before hitting the add to cart button.

But these accessories that would be added are inventoried items, which would also work with many other machines. So it would be like this:

Variable Product: (Customer selects one) Machine 1 or machine 2
And then below that, I would want an option say for accessory 1
And then accessory 2 But I dont want them as just a check mark, I would want them as an inventoried product, where you could click on it to see more details on that accessory, just all shown on that page together.
Ive tried product bundles, variable product, composite product, grouped product, etc. They wont do what I am trying to get them to do here.

Does anyone have a suggestion for that?

This is what I have now.

    1. This is the Variable Product: http://pm.15656.com/shop/pm-25mv-2/ I like the variable product to display the main machine options just as shown. And in the part where it shows the price from $1499-$2098, thats perfect. But I need to add options below to that, just like I have them here: http://pm.15656.com/shop/pm-25mv-milling-machine/ So if I could do a combination of that, the variable product for the main product, with the options like they are in the second link, that would be it.

I also tried it here, with the Product Bundle: http://pm.15656.com/shop/pm-25mv-bundle/ But when you select a machine option, the picture does not change like it does in the variable product. And also, the options below are much larger, but you cant click on them to get more details, all you can do is click the picture.

Its like I am so close, and maybe just missing something simple, but if anyone knows how to fix this, I would really appreciate it! Its not a cost thing, I dont mind paying for a plug in, or for help, or whatever, but I have been searching for weeks, and just can not find anything that will do what I want.

    Thank you so much!

  • @qualitymachinetools There are some various ways to chain together products.

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/group-bundle-products-woocommerce/

That has the recommended ways of connecting together products. You can force products to be purchased together, create whole groupings, etc. You’ll need to look through those different options to see what it is you really want, but I’m pretty sure that using those will probably achieve what you are asking for.

Hi There, I have read through that many many times, and still no luck. Am I just maybe missing something? I thought that Composite Products would do it, but it does not seem to work.

I pretty much just need the main product as a variable product, with accessories shown below it, that are inventoried items, and that the customer can click on the description to get to that accessories main page for more details.
