how to make the webpage of my blog bigger

    I have a webcomic powered by WordPress on ComicPress theme, and I will post images only. Once I upload them, images are shown too small both in the preview and in the permalink after the publication, no matter which size they are: I’ve been trying saving them with several sizes but I always get the same narrow image in the final post.

    How may I change the size of the post in order to have it wider on the webpage I get when I enter the URL of my site?
