Support » Plugin: SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager » how to make parent pages unclickable in the menu

  • Hello everybody,

My menu is built from my pages.
Is it possible to make non-clickable parent pages ?
I can do it with a custom menu but in this case I lose the initial formatting.

Indeed, with the menu per page, the first level links turn red when hovering over the mouse, whereas if I go through a custom menu, if there is a second level of menu, the first level links remain gray.

Do you have a hint to make some pages unclickable or to change the appearance of the menu when hovering over the mouse ?

I hope to have been clear.

    Thank you for your answers

    Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry for the trouble.

This is only possible by adding custom menus, unfortunately.

You could change the design with some custom code, but this kind of change would be beyond the scope of our support.

    Thanks!

    Hi Roch,

    Thanks four your answer.
May be you know where I can find the css code for change the design of my custom menu ?

    Hi!

Thanks for your reply! You’ll need to create your own code. We recommend you adding it under Wp admin > SportsPress > Settings > General > Custom CSS

    Thanks!

Maybe use the link “#” on your parent link?

    Hi!

Yes, that’s part of using a custom menu 🙂

    Thanks!

    Thanks , that’s what I did to make them non-clickable !
But I still do not find how to have the same appearance as the original menu (in red over mouse over) 🙂

Indeed @lousdes74, that’s what I thought as well.

    Thanks!

It should be changeable via page settings really – in fact I am new to wordpress and the first thing I did was to change the name of the page [permalink] to # and did not work as expected!

On Drupal you do exactly that for non-content-page, but simply a parent placeholder for drop-down links.

I wonder if it will be implemented instead of manually change it.

    Thanks
