How to make Genesis Portfolio Pro Filterable

Hi, is there a way to generate a menu to filter protfolio item based on their category using this plugin? I understand it requires to add some js, css and a customize archive-portfolio.php page, but couldn’t find any solution to use with this specific plugin, all solution I founded suggest to use a different plugin.
