    Hello!

I’m sure this has to exist somewhere in the codex, but I wasn’t able to find it and/or I have no idea what it’s called.

Basically, I’m trying to make a markup of a post’s or a page’s location while on that page, for example:

Home >> Category Name >> Post title

I already have the html/css formatting for that area, however I lack the php knowledge to put it together myself.

    Thanks for the help!

  • I assume you mean you want breadcrumbs on your page. This can be a bit tricky (what should it display when a post is placed in more than one category for example?) so I would suggest to try a few plugins to do the hard work. There’s quite a few available: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=breadcrumbs

I think you are looking for breadcrums.

Some themes have that already and there may be a plugin you could use

Thank you both, found what I was looking for in the Codex by searching for breadcrumbs. I’d rather not use plugins for this, and I’m fine with displaying just one category ^_^ Have a nice day, the both of you!
