    Hello,

    I’ve read a few forums already, but I wanted to see if I can make certain specific posts full-width and other posts with one sidebar.

    For example, I would like to have my homepage layout to have my newest blog posts with a right side bar. Like the standard usual.

    On my fashion posts, once you click through from the homepage, I would like them to also have the blog article and the right side bar.

    On my travel posts (this is where it gets tricky), once you click the post from the homepage, it brings you to a full-width post with no sidebar. Essentially, I would like to display my travel photos full-width for better visualization. I have no travel posts up yet, but am preparing to do one next.

    Is it possible to add some sort of css code? Or all blog posts has to be all one sidebar or all full-width? Thank you in advance!

  • Hi there,
    you can try this

    .postid-XXX #site-content .col-md-8{
     width:100%;
    }

    in your custom CSS box under Appearance ▸ Customize ▸ Additional CSS where XXX your post ID.
    You can find the post ID like described here https://www.cssigniter.com/kb/how-to-find-the-post-id/
    Let me know if this works

    Worked like a charm! Thank you so much for help and super fast response.

    Glad I could help!
    I’d like to ask you, if you like the theme and could take a minute to review it here it would help us a lot!

    Yes, I will!

    But I just noticed something. My right sidebar is still there, but it is now located at the end of the blog post. So it looked like the full-width blog post just push the sidebar below it.

    Is there a way to get a rid of the sidebar altogether just for a single post?

    Hi there,
    try this

    .postid-XXX #site-content .col-md-4{
     display:none;
    }

    to hide the sidebar also!

    Yes! It worked. Thank you so much!!

    hey there, how can i make this for every blog post?
    thank you

    Hi there,
    you can check this thread https://wordpress.org/support/topic/some-questions-80/

    Hi Fotis, I have a single post that I have already removed the sidebar from by removing <?php get_sidebar(); ?> from single.php,

    to get the post to full width, I tried to add both .postid-XXX #site-content .col-md-8{
    width:100%;
    }
    and
    .single #site-content .col-md-8{
    width:100%;
    }
    to custom CSS but neither worked for me. Any ideas?

    Hi there,
    can you send me a URL so I can have a closer look? Can you try the CSS suggestion before any other custom css you might have?

    I currently have the CSS suggestion:
    .postid-27 #site-content .col-md-8{
    width:100%;
    }
    in place.
    Below is the URL for the post:

    Thank you so much for looking at it for me 🙂
