Can you try adding a category menu item and then posting a link to your site so I can take a look?

    techfornomad.com
you will see some menu like “startup”,”events”, “gadget” from my category, but if you click them it will move to the category page with content is page not found 🙁

    hope you can solve it

I think the problem has to do with your site wanting to put index.php in your web site addresses. For example, your E-commerce page goes to:

    http://techfornomad.com/index.php/e-commerce/

And your category links want to go here:

    http://techfornomad.com/index.php/category/events/

Are you hosted on a Windows server? Can you please post the contents of your web.config file, if you have one. It would be located in the root folder of your web site (you’ll have to use an FTP client or your host’s control panel to find it).

If you don’t have a web.config file, and you are on a Windows server, you will have to create one. Look here for a sample web.config file.

ok, before it, the E-commerce page is same with the other page
    http://techfornomad.com/index.php/category/e-commerce/

but i try another way to make a page, so i got http://techfornomad.com/index.php/e-commerce/

    its just a experiment

i dont have web.config file by the way.. so should i copy the script from your sample web.config file?

    (@crouchingbruin)

Yes, give it a try if you don’t have a web.config file.

is that save? before it my website is attack by virus, i dont want it happen again
i need to change some code or just copy and paste that code?

    CrouchingBruin

    (@crouchingbruin)

Yes, it is safe. I have a web.config file on my site as well, and I use a Windows server from GoDaddy. The link that has the sample web.config file is from wordpress.org. If you do a search on removing index.php from your web site URL, you will find the same suggestions.

You need to create a new file called web.config in the root folder of your site. It’s the same folder where you installed WordPress.

did this work out for you bud? looks like the guys you were talking to has a site full of “malware” or so that’s what my computer browser keeps telling me.

Hi, I have the same problem of @acsyaifullah.
Like I ever did I simply put a category in the menu to link it to specific category posts, but I receive the message “Oops! That page can’t be found. It looks like nothing was found at this location. Try the search below.”
Sorry but I don’t understand your explanation @crouchingbruin, can you help me?
This is the link of my site draft
The categories links in the menu are “Recipes”, “In their Kitchen”, “Travels” (I have only categorized “Recipes” posts for now)
    Thank you so much!

@fabbryzz, how did you get it to work? I couldn’t figure it out.
