How to make an invisible page a part of the sidebar?

I was wondering. How can I make an “invisible” page on my wordpress site? I would like to make it to where it is the sidebar, instead of HTML code in the sidebar widgets. So rather than code a bunch of elements for a sidebar widget, I’d like to click the page and edit it in the WordPress text menu.

Same goes for header elements I’d want to change frequently without the need for coding.

  • You could create a custom post type and show a post from that in the sidebar. Custom post types do not show up anywhere by default.

Not sure what you mean by header elements.

Would I need some type of PHP code for that, or is there a really nice addon for that particular thing?

If you do not have Pages in your Menu, you might try just creating a regular Page.

You would still need to use PHP code for the widget to display the content.

You can put PHP code in a widget in several ways. One way is to use the My Custom Widgets plugin.

If you are not comfortable with creating the PHP code, you may need to hire someone to do the work for you. You can post a free job request on jobs.wordpress.net.
