• A really quick question if I may.
I was just writing content for a page, with a space between my headings and paragraphs ect, and when I published, the spaces were gone (everything was bunched up.)
I went back and put the spaces back, re-published, but to no avail-bunched up again-why is that?
    Thanks

  • Put   in your line breaks and you’ll retain the spacing…

Just a small glitch with how the editor works i think, the above is a work-around..

    Thanks t31os,
So let me get this straight, every post I have to go into the HTML editor (I use the visual editor)and insert that bit of code everywhere I want a space? I just wrote a 1500 word post, many of the spaces are there it’s only about half that don’t want to take, but that’s still a lot of spaces!

I assume you referred to line breaks being lost when you say ‘spaces’…

I have this issue aswell, but i use some extra padding on pages where the problem occurs to make it look like the line break is still there…

I’ve just happened to read about the problem a bit recently, and it was one of the suggestions i picked up on.

    I can’t give you a definitive answer.

I apologize I’m somewhat of a noob still when it come to terminology here
I think my “spaces” and your “line breaks” are synonymous.
In our comments above you have “line breaks” in yours and I don’t in mine right? Anyway those are the spaces I was referring to.

Yes, i refer to them as line breaks personally and spaces as being a literal space, like you have between words… 🙂
