Hello, on this page, I have one large image and two image galleries: http://escapefromtehran.com/iran-travel-tour/massive-glory-in-sleepy-towns-gonabad-khorasan-mosque/ If you click on the large image, it opens up in lightbox. But you can only see that one image and can’t click inside the lightbox to browse the rest of the images on the page.

In order to browse through the image gallery further down, you have to first CLOSE the large image’s lightbox and click on a thumb in the image gallery. Likewise, to enlarge the images in the second gallery in bottom of the page, you have to click on an image in that particular gallery.

I would like the user to be able to click through ALL the images inside a post (the embeded image and the galleries) contiguously in the lightbox. It would be far more user-friendly and make the site more sticky for users who are interested mostly in photos.

Is there a way to do this?

I think you would need to include all images into a single gallery, then somehow manage the thumbs output to allow for large blocks of text to be arbitrarily inserted between some of the thumbs. You’d end up with what you have now, except since all images are in the same gallery, visitors can navigate through the entire block all at once.

I think this would be more feasible than trying to link separate galleries together in lightbox. Whether this is possible would depend on your particular gallery plugin. I suggest you inquire with your gallery’s developers to see what’s involved with inserting text blocks between gallery thumbs. Good luck!

Hello, thanks for your response. I appreciate your precise description.

I agree with your solution. But I think inserting blocks of text into a gallery would be tricky.

Another way to do this is forget about the gallery altogether. Look at this page http://escapefromtehran.com/iran-travel-tour/test-post-images/

It has three images inserted the regular ADD MEDIA route. No gallery at all.

Hasn’t anyone created a plugin to allow browsing ALL the images inside a page? It would simply look to see what other images have been inserted into the page and allow user to browse those too when one of the images are clicked.

If no one has created such a plugin, would be very difficult to have one built? Or what I’m proposing would be technically just too difficult to implement?
