    Hi there,

I am using a child theme of Storefront, which has no functionality in the footer.
I’m trying to create a modern footer which has widgets, menus, logo, etc… and is also responsive.
I have searched but I can’t find any guidance or code samples for that.
I will appreciate any help to do that.
Here is an example of a footer I would like to have: https://flatsome3.uxthemes.com/demos/shop-demos/classic-shop

    Thank you!

  • Storefront has 4 footer widget areas as standard – perhaps there is something in the child theme footer.php file that is overriding this?

Thanks for the reply, I just found the option to add the widgets to the footer, but for some reason all I see in the footer is the copyright text.
I don’t have the footer.php in the child theme.
Is there any setting maybe that enables or disables the widgets in the footer?

As far as I know there isn’t an enable/disable option

Is there some CSS hiding it? Can you link to your site so I can look?

Have you checked to see whether the widgets added under Appearance > Widgets are showing up when temporarily switching to the parent Storefront theme?

Also, please note that this forum is geared towards the core WooCommerce plugin only. For more support on this, please open a new thread over at https://wordpress.org/support/theme/storefront/

    Thanks!
