I am trying to create a slider that shows posts contents. For an example of what I’m looking for, take a look at http://www.wadleighlibrary.org/ (not my site), which uses the WordPress Graphene theme. Graphene has this slider built in, and shows posts in a very pleasant way, ideal for displaying news items, etc. Also very easy to set up.

So far, in Smart Slider 3, I have managed to get a slider working that shows the posts (I used dynamic content) in my website, but it only shows the featured image for the post. That is actually the least interesting thing I want to show. (see https://souheganvalleychorus.org/ — scroll down below the large image and nav menu to see the current state of my slider). I’ve found that the option to center the image (the current setting) makes the image too small, and the margins are way to large. I’ve also tried the fit option, but that makes the image too large, and insufficient margins. I’ve struggled with how to get the content I want, and also to control the margins and borders.

I tried to enclose the slider in a <div>, and use CSS on that <div>, but it didn’t seem to have much effect; I’ll probably spend more time on that, once I’ve convinced myself that I can come up with a slider with the content I want.

Can you help, or at least lead me in the right direction to accomplish what I want to do? I’m not looking for anything complicated — at least, I don’t think so.

    Thanks in advance…
