How to make a simple store locator like this

    The example uses an AJAX drop down list. If your client does not have a lot of stores, it could be a static drop down list. There must be plugins that use the same technique, or if you search the internet, you’ll find many code examples.

    I would create a custom post type for stores, and a custom taxonomy for store locations to which they could be assigned.

    You could then add store locations to your custom taxonomy in a hierarchical format – ie country, with regions underneath that, with cities underneath that.

    Then you could output the taxonomy as either a single menu with indents or use AJAX to just show the toplevel taxonomy terms which would fetch child terms when the menu is changed.
