    How do I make a hyperlink on the static home page,

    there is no box that comes up on the home page asking me for the direct url that I wish to link to.

    It is not clear what you are asking. Are you trying to choose which page will be your home page or are you trying to add a link to/in your home page?

    I am trying to add link from my home page to another page within my site

    The home page , let say it is

    Here is the street where I live

    i want to take the word “street” and make it link to an inside page

    let’s say the inside page is ” street directions”

    I don’t know how to do that thank you

    In the editor, type the word you want make into a link – then highlight that word. Then click the link button and in the popup, add the URL for the page you want that link to go to.

    what do you mean, in the editor?

    I am on the home page and it’s not even listed as a page, the web designer flew the coup, so this is part of theme he gave me,

    see i have to go appearance – theme options and then i am able to add content to the home page, however, I can not make a hyperlink and I NEED to make a few hyperlinks on that home page

    Posting a link to your site would be a good start – so people can see what your home page is and what theme you are using. Sounds like the home page is probably using Excerpts which strip out links by design. See:
