We are installing this plugin on behalf of our customers. We are using our Google account, which is currently linked with many properties we are tracking. After authorizing the plugin, I’m noticing that the account pull-down remains enabled. This means that our customer Admins can easily see all the accounts and properties we are tracking, by simply pulling down the menu.

We need a way to “lock” the Google account so that the pull-down is read-only once we’ve connected the plugin to Google Analytics.

What is the best way to accomplish this? Just use the UA-code instead? Are there any downsides to manually entering the UA code?

Yep, you’re going to for now want to use the UA code. The downside is they won’t be able to utilize the dashboard page. We’re working on a new major version that will allow for the locking of profiles, but we don’t have an eta for this release yet.
