How to limit number of words displayed on page HELP!

I know there have been many variations of this question in the past so please bear with me. I have set up a page that has recent posts of a single category. This is a new page altogether and is not part of the index.

I am wanting to show like the first 200 words of each post. Now it can’t really be part of the excerpt because I have something written in the excerpt part for each post that is being displayed on the main page. I just want it to show the content but cut it off at like 200 words or so.

Any help on this subject would be sooooo greatly appreciated.
