How to keep the header image fixed

  • Hi guys! Good morning!

    Here’s my dilemma. I was able to make the blog title and the navigation menu stay where they are while I scroll up or down the page. However, I have not been successful in making the header image act the same way.

    If I use position: fixed; or position: relative;, the header image disappears from view.

    What I would like to achieve is for the three elements (the blog name, the navigation menu and header image) to stay fixed where they are while I scroll up or down the page.

    Can someone be my angel? I’m going nuts!!!

  • You are going to have to put the posts area into a frame for that to happen, or to make the static parts into the background.

    #header h1 {
    font-size: 1.8em;
    background: url(images/viganheader.png); /* no-repeat; */
    position: fixed;
    width: 755px;
    height: 150px
    margin: 0;
    top: 0;
    padding: 0;
    z-index: 1;

    I’ve been tweaking this part which I think is the problem. Maybe it’s so obvious, but I can’t see what’s wrong with it…
