Your page template might be using the_content()
instead of the_excerpt().
This plugin acts on/filters the_content().
This may be a stupid question as I have a feeling you just answered this, but how do I rectify that? Do I need to change the file somewhere?
Still looking for a solution. 🙂
Hey, I’ve been at WordCamp Lancaster, Pennsylvania activities since last night! You could look into changing your page template to use the_excerpt()
, but a change to your theme won’t survive a theme update. If you’re not working on a child theme that you’ve created this could be a risk if the theme developer pushes an update to the theme.
Hm, okay. Thank you for your help. Is there, by chance, any other workaround I could use? Or, better yet, does anyone know of another plugin that will accomplish this? I just want something to appear at the bottom of every full post, that won’t appear at the bottom of previews or pages.
Still looking for a fix! 🙂
I can’t make any more recommendations without looking at your theme files to confirm what I suggested above.
Are you only showing excerpts on the home page and in archives? That could enable a workaround that I describe here: http://www.umbrellastudio.com/wordpress/bottom-of-every-post/
