How to integrate NextGEN Gallery with PhotoSwipe? (5 posts)

Has anybody gotten NextGEN Gallery to play nice with PhotoSwipe?

I can just add the class and it places the full view of every picture into one big gallery. It doesn't seem to work with REL elements like some of the others do.

How can I get it to work with the %GALLERY_NAME% shortcode under Gallery - Options?

If that's not possible, has anybody modified the PhotoSwipe script to provide full functionality and willing to share?

How about any other touch-optimized gallery?

Touch is pretty important to a site I'm designing. I hope someone has an answer, because I'm hitting a brick wall.

I too am looking for a solution, as are others:

I'm not sure there's a way to dynamically serve separate galleries in PhotoSwipe with the script's current implementation.

The post above mentions a workaround - place the bulk of your gallery content under a <!--more--> jump.

You'll have to decide whether or not this works for you.

Perhaps when Mr. Rabe gets off his Skyrim sabbatical he'll take a look. :)

I have them working well together here:
    my site

Using short code [album id=x template=compact] and modified the gallery.php file.

Feel free to copy my code, I have trouble explaining what I did as it is all very new to me!

Why don't you try my plugin?

It replaces the default viewer with Photoswipe when using a mobile browser. It's really simple to use.

@Guillermo because its not compatible with WPTouch. Is there a work around or a fix you know of or can offer? Thank you
