Why would you need to have to separate WordPress installations in the same directory?

WordPress is installed in the root directory and it has good position in google. But I want to install another script and its frontpage is good, so I want to install the script in the root directory.
You cannot have two instances of WordPress running in the same directory. If you wish to rebuild the site but retain the position in Google you can use 301 redirects to do so.

I want to install 2 different php scripts(one is wordpress).
How to use 301 redirects?
I know of no way to use two separate CMS systems in the same folder. Since most content managements use commonly name files you’d have to severely modify one. Here’s a link on 301 redirects
