Whats your language used in your WordPress?
same issue here. i tested a copied file from 2015 (my last version) but it will not work with new version.
I see that everyone has problems with the translation plugin. Can I get the status of the translator in Russian language?

on https://wp-statistics.com/translations/ i’ve clicked on german and exported the stable release to a “wp-plugins-wp-statistics-stable-de.po” file. i renamed it to “wp_statistics-de_DE.po” and created with po edit a “wp_statistics-de_DE.mo”. after that i’ve uploaded the 2 files in languages folder of the plugin. the plugin is not translated. whats wrong?
Rename to wp-statistics-de_DE.po & wp-statistics-de_DE.mo
sorry, no change after rename to “wp-statistics-de_DE.po” and “wp-statistics-de_DE.mo”

Please copy your language file to /wp-content/languages/plugins
And rename to wp-statistics-de_DE.po & wp-statistics-de_DE.mo
It must work. if you using the latest version.

I can confirm this works. Why are there less translations in the latest stable than in the 12.0.7 though?
