    I have several questions.
    What is “Schedule ID”?
How do one install a teams schedule?
I am trying to load a 55 game college baseball schedule for 80 teams. How do I imput this information into schedules?

Under “Add Schedules enter title here” What is this?

Under “Add Game enter title here” What is this?

    Please advise for all.

    Hi Michael,
Thanks for your questions. First, this plugin may not be exactly what you want. It is designed for each schedule to have a ‘home team’, and the entries are the games played by that team. So you would have to enter 80 teams with 55 games per team. Fortunately, you can do this by importing the schedules in a properly formatted Excel spreadsheet. A video tutorial is available for Gold Support members.

That said, take a look at the man page titled Creating Schedules with Team Logos … the right way. I believe it explains the sequence for entering all data – venues, teams, schedules, games, scoreboards.

If you take a look at the results at dev.shoalsummitsolutions.com, you will see that the plugin generates some rich displays, but (a) to get the results you need to enter the data, and (b) it does NOT support League schedules.

    Hope this helps.

I install the teams entire https://url schedule from each website into Schedule ID. I did this for each team. Correct me if I’m wrong.

    Hey Michael,
I really don’t know what you are referring to:

I install the teams entire https://url schedule from each website into Schedule ID.

    ??? Typo maybe?

    Mark,

From the catagory “Schedules, Add New Schedule” I installed from a teams baseball website from their baseball schedule I coped their “http://www.sports.com/index.aspx?path=baseball” paste their “http://www.sports.com/index.aspx?path=baseball” onto “Schedule ID” I did this for each team. Is this the correct format to install a teams entire url in “Schedule ID” Correct me if I’m wrong.

    Michael,
This is not how the MSTW Schedules & Scoreboards plugin works at all. Perhaps you are in the wrong forum? Maybe you are asking about your theme or some other plugin?

Then can a schedule be installed one team at a time?

    Plugin Author Mark O’Donnell

    (@markodonnell)

    Well ….

Schedules don’t contain teams, they contain games. So here’s the order. In the following “home team” is the team that ‘owns’ the schedule. That team must be one of the teams in each game on the schedule and “home” games (there’s a checkbox for that on the Edit Game screen) are played at that team’s home venue. Anyway:

1 Create a home team venue on the Add/Edit Venue (and visiting team venues if you want them).

    2. Create the home team in the Add/Edit Team screen.

    3. Create a schedule for the home team in the Add/Edit Schedule screen. (The schedule will be empty at this point.”

    4. Create games and assign them to the schedule.

All of this can be done “in bulk” using the CSV import function.

Please read this man page and ask more specific questions about it.

I have loaded teams to the schedule which includes venues and all other necessarry information. My question is, does this plugin support showcaseing a teams list of home and away 55 game schedule for viewing also or am I missing something here?

If I use the CSV for an entire teams schedule (home and away games):

    1. Will the plugin link the schedule with the correct team?

    2. How do I load an entire 80 team 55 game schedule at once using the CSV import function?

    Thanks for the response.

Yes, the plugin does support displaying a schedule as a table or as a ‘slider’. Both views are highly configurable. You use shortcodes to do so.

    1. If you upload a CSV for a schedule, yes the plugin knows the correct team (based on you providing the correct team slug in the CSV file).

    2. You can load multiple schedules from one CSV file. That’s based on the schedule column. The limitation will be the processing time and memory usage limits of your web server. Users frequently have to break the CSV files into bite-sized pieces, which works just fine.

Is there a way to reduce the size of the font and font style on the outcome page. I think the size is making the output larger than the size designed in the WordPress theme’s template. It is therefore eliminating the right hand side menu going down the page. If the you can tell me which module that contains this coding, I can edit it.

Also, as a further test, is it possible to go live temporarily to see what else there is? That way I can also see if and what colors need to be adjusted. I have loaded a ton of information.

    Again, Thanks for responding.

    Hi Michael,
    To answer your questions:

Is there a way to reduce the size of the font and font style on the outcome page.

    Yes, it’s called CSS.

I think the size is making the output larger than the size designed in the WordPress theme’s template. It is therefore eliminating the right hand side menu going down the page. If the you can tell me which module that contains this coding, I can edit it.

First, I believe this can all be done with CSS. The plugin uses 100% of the theme container.

If the you can tell me which module that contains this coding, I can edit it.

I don’t recommend editing anything in the plugin (other than the CSS stylesheet). Otherwise you will have a maintenance nightmare as new versions are released. (I’m working on the next one right now.)

Also, as a further test, is it possible to go live temporarily to see what else there is?

I don’t understand this question. You can do anything you want with your site.

Finally, the bulk of your questions here are plugin-theme integration issues. I do not support plugin-theme integration issues in this forum. If you would like such support please register for Gold Support.

I import 52 schedules into “Schedules CSV Files”. Loading file HBCU Baseball Schedule 2015.xlsx …
    Loaded ….
Skipped 24 schedules (most likely due to empty title.)
Imported 0 schedules to database in 0.00 seconds.

    All files are not “empty”.

    Please advise

Where do I install “The Game Schedules slider shortcode is:[mstw_gs_slider sched=schedule-slug]”?

Where do I get the “shortcodes”?

I have all of your imports installed and I see nothing.

Second request for information. Again, I import 52 college baseball schedules into “Schedules CSV Files” per the MSTW Schedules & Scoreboards plugin as instructions.

Message return stating “Imported 0 schedules to database in 0.00 seconds.Loading file HBCU Baseball Schedule 2015.xlsx …
Loaded …. Skipped 24 schedules (most likely due to empty title.)”.

All files are “empty”. Not one baseball schedule imported into “Schedules CSV File”.

    I reloaded again, nothing.

    Please advise

Second request for information. again, I installed “The Game Schedules slider shortcode:[mstw_gs_slider sched=schedule-slug]”? I have all of your “shortcodes” for games, teams, schedules, sliders, timers installed and I see nothing except just one game load, none of your plugin other features.

Earlier I asked “Is there a way to reduce the size of the font and font style on the outcome page?”. CSS Stylesheet not providing any information code on height and length of font size.

Please advise regarding “shortcodes” and font CSS Stylesheet?
