  • Thank you for the theme comment.

Where were you trying to insert an iframe and for what?
I will see if I canreplicate one with a test site using this theme.

I am trying to insert an iframe from here:

into a page on my site. I tried it both on a page and a post.

I tried it with two different plugins and it didn’t work. It creates the box, but inside it is stuff from my own site and when I click on the box, it takes me to my site’s Facebook page.

The code looks wrong to me because it lacks the full url of the site, so I played around with their code and still couldn’t get it to work.

Is there by any chance an iframe blocker script on pages?

PLEASE tell me you can help. I love the theme.

It doesn’t look like it’s the theme. I just did a test with that URL you gave and here is an error I got:

about:blank:1 Refused to display '' in a frame because an ancestor violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "frame-ancestors 'self' * * * *".

I also went directly to that page you gave (not sure what this is for, but got this:

The web site you are accessing has experienced an unexpected error.
    Please contact the website administrator.

I tried a couple other commercial sites and they would give security errors. I then tried my blog site with this code in the page I created (in the HTML code view:

    <iframe width="600" height="600" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It worked. So it appears you are experiencing security issues on the other website(s) that are setup. You may want to contact that website and request information on how to embed the registration form.

It’s for my gardening site — it allows them to enter their ZIP code and it gives them their growing zone.

I played with it some more and I got the impression that it was on their end, too, and not the theme. I emailed the webmaster.

If I get them to fix it, should I just use one of the plugins available to add the iframe to the page?

You’ve been so helpful — appreciate it!

You are very welcome, and hopefully you hear back fro them.

You can use either the manual method like I did or a plugin…whichever will give you the most flexibility is what is important.

You’ll want to use a plugin to get the iframe to stay in wordpress. There’s a few good plugins that sprung up to fix this, and most are pretty straightforward in how to get the iframe to work.

I’ve been having this issue ever since updating, adding it to the code worked for a little bit, but it kept getting mysteriously deleted whenever the page it was on was edited.

    Good luck!
