  • I’d like to increase the width without affecting the sidebar width..

With Montezuma, you have a choice of a 960px width grid, or a 100% width grid. You should read the documentation about the CSS grid system by going to Appearance > Montezuma Options > CSS Settings > Editing CSS from your admin Dashboard.

Within the 960px width grid or the 100% width grid, you can also choose between different margin sizes and whether or not the site is responsive. Go to Appearance > Montezuma Options > CSS Settings > Choose CSS Grid to see what your options are, and read the documentation there as well.

With all that being said, there is no real way of expanding the width of the main content area while keeping the sidebar width the same. With a 960px grid, if you increase the width of the main area, you will need to decrease the sidebar width, or the responsiveness won’t work correctly. If you go to a 100% grid, you will have more room for your content, but you may not like the way the content stretches across the screen on wide displays, plus the sidebar will also expand and shrink in proportion to the width of the screen.

If you really want to make the grid width wider than 960px, you’ll probably have to create a child theme and rework all of the calculations for the different column classes; that’s not something that I can answer, but you can try asking the question on the BytesForAll support forum to see if anyone can help you.

Thank you… really appreciate your help
