[Resolved] How to include widgets for use on multiple WP installs in a network

  • I’m looking to create about 30 sidebar widgets for our organization. I originally started building them as plugins then realized I would have multiple copies of the same code scattered around the many different WP installs we’re using. Now I’m wondering if I should create an include file in a central location that contains all of the widgets I want to make available. I’d add the include line to the functions.php file of the theme. Would this work? Downsides to doing this?

    TIA

  • Playing around with this now and I realize the answer is yes I can do it.

Now the question is what are the issues it will create!
