Support » Plugin: Events Manager » How to include rel=next / prev in paginated content

Not sure this is something that can be expected of a plugin, but I’m looking into the possibility of including rel=next and rel=prev in the paginated event lists, either in the pagination links themselves or in the <head> section.

Any thoughts are definitely welcome as most posts about this focus on the default WordPress archives and not on implementing it on single pages with variable page numbers as with Events Manager.

  • at the moment you need to add that by editing plugin file at events-manager/em-functions.php at around line 13 however this is not upgrade safe.

Great. Keeping one thing in mind while upgrading should be do-able.

Thanks for pointing out the location.

if you want to modify it yourself, you can actually override that function in your theme file (e.g. define it in a mu-plugins folder file), or use the filter. that’d be upgrade-safe

Thanks, the mu-plugins solution worked perfectly for the on-page rel=next. I’ll look into learning a bit more php before attempting <link rel=”next”> in the <head> section 🙂

    thanks for the update.
