how to import xml file – old nucleus blog

  • Hi,
I’m a complete newbi in all of this and I’ve tried finding a solution but couldn’t get it,pls help me,it’s very important for me.
I’ve got a *.xls-sql export of my old nucleus blog with about 70 long articles separated in different columns like ID-Title-Body-More and Time stamp.I want to import them into my new blod- word press it would be days to do it all with copy and paste and i can’t do that. How can I do this using the import function of Word press? I’ve tried RSS-Feed import in word press didn’t work, I don’t know how to use any of the scripts you can find and i won’t get the data in another format because of the web master who gave it do me.
    thx for any suggestions

Hey there, I’m not a complete newbie but I’m looking for the same info, if it makes you feel any better. The import script I found resulted in errors and I had to clear my wordpress database and start over again, so whatever you do, be sure to grab backups first.

Here are some links that might help you, depending on how complex your blog is:

If your rss isn’t busted like mine is, you might also try importing using that. Hoping it helps. Let me know how it goes for you,

Alright, this isn’t an rss import, but it ended up working better for me than anything else I’d tried.
